Responsive Architecture Workshop
1 Lessons
Course Description
This workshop bridges the gap between technical imagination and architectural application. Participants will master Parametric Design to translate climate data into kinetic facades and adaptive systems, whereas in the digital transformation era, buildings are no longer static shelters; they are intelligent systems that breathe and respond to environmental changes. We will journey from "Computational/ Parametric Logic" using (Rhino/Grasshopper) and "Site Analysis" to "Energy Simulation," using (Ladybug tools), ensuring the creation of professional, sustainable, and scientifically-backed projects. Syllabus (30 Hours): 1. The "Smart" Logic: Parametric Essentials (10 Hours) 2. Decoding the Environment (10 Hours) * Climate Data Mining: Acquiring and analyzing EPW information (Temperature, Humidity, Radiation).* Analytical Diagrams: Generating Wind Roses, Radiation Roses, and Sun Path diagrams. * Microclimate Studies 3. "Alive" Performance: Energy Modelling (10 Hours) *Application: - Identifying design drivers for the project based on site data. - From Data to Geometry: Converting climatic data values into geometric movements. - Optimization: Finding the best environmental design solutions from the early stages of the project. Workshop Outcomes: * Technical Mastery: Full control over Rhino/Grasshopper for environmental design. * Scientific Argument: Ability to justify design decisions with data and simulations.* Elite Portfolio: High-quality diagrams and "Responsive" models that stand out in graduation juries and professional practice.* Professional Mentorship and Follow-up: The instructors will follow up with you while working on your projects during and after the workshop.
